Trio explores the relationship between three independent forms brought together to create a single composition. Each element maintains its own identity through shape and color, yet relies on the others to establish the balance and rhythm of the whole.

As viewers move around the sculpture, the overlapping forms continually shift. Openings appear and disappear, colors interact in different ways, and the composition changes from every viewpoint. Although the geometry is bold and straightforward, the relationships between the elements remain fluid and constantly evolving.

One of the design challenges was allowing the sculpture to appear as a collection of separate forms while concealing the structural connections. Each colored element locks into the others with hidden fasteners, creating the impression that the pieces simply occupy the same space without visible means of support.

A Personal Note

I've always enjoyed exploring how simple geometric forms can interact to create something more dynamic than any one shape alone. With Trio, I wanted each element to stand on its own while contributing equally to the overall composition.
