Serenity Sphere
Kinetic sculpture fuses stainless steel, engineering, and interaction in this dynamic work constructed from over 375 linear feet of 3 1/2” tubing. Every element was precisely measured and assembled to create perfect balance and symmetry, ensuring that the sculpture rotates smoothly on its vertical axis. My process began with extensive CAD modeling to design and machine the custom components, including precision bearings that allow for effortless motion.
The piece is as much about engagement as it is about form. Viewers are invited to interact with the sculpture, setting it into motion and becoming part of its visual story. As it spins, light and shadow play across its surfaces, revealing new perspectives and patterns with every turn.
Fabricated from stainless steel, the sculpture is built for both durability and elegance, making it equally suited for outdoor public spaces or indoor installations. Its combination of engineering expertise, craftsmanship, and participatory design transforms it from a static object into an evolving shared experience—one that invites curiosity, sparks conversation, and celebrates the seamless blend of art and mechanics.
