Mystical Flight explores movement, balance, and the visual rhythm created through repeated forms. Suspended from a sweeping curved element, the arrayed steel members appear to float in space while maintaining a carefully balanced composition.

Ten tensioned cables support the suspended elements, allowing them to remain stable while creating the illusion that they are lightly suspended rather than rigidly fixed. The contrast between the sweeping arc, the radiating forms, and the delicate cables gives the sculpture a sense of motion, as though it has been paused in mid-flight.

A Personal Note

This was one of my early explorations into repeated forms and layered compositions. At the time, I was interested in finding ways to suspend individual elements while allowing them to appear almost weightless. Looking back, I can see many of the ideas that continued into later works—movement, geometry, and the changing relationships created through repetition.
